Jew-haters on both the left and the right are accusing Israel of dragging America into this war.
President Trump says that if anything, he dragged Israel into the war.
I say that if the fact that Iran chants “Death to America,” has tried to assassinate the President of the United States, and has the blood of countless American lives on its hands, means nothing to you, that’s ok.
I won’t bother to explain that Iran is an existential threat to Israel. Or how the regime has slaughtered thousands of its own people. Or that it deprives its own citizens of food and electricity to finance our death and destruction.
I won’t discuss the devastation it has brought to every country where it built its proxies. Or the missiles and drones it has already launched that have reached European territory. Or the fact that its weapons are being used by Russia in the war against Ukraine.
Instead, I will say this:
It is the Nation of Israel’s job to be a light unto the nations — even when, perhaps especially when, the nations are lost in the darkness of their own moral confusion.
We are done apologizing for protecting our own lives. That is what NEVER AGAIN means.
And we won’t apologize for being who we are supposed to be.
Today, the Jewish nation is standing between that darkness and the world. (Thankfully, today America is led by people who are not themselves morally confused and are willing to stand with us.}
Just 80 years ago, the nations of Europe, whether actively or passively, tried to destroy the Jews. Today, the Jewish Nation is preventing the darkness of Iran from swallowing them.
And perhaps that fact is exactly what is infuriating so many Jew haters…

I appreciate your passion and the important reminder that Iran is a real threat to Israel, to America, and to many others. Chants of “Death to America” and their proxy wars aren’t imaginary. Standing strong against that darkness is necessary.
At the same time, I worry that labeling nearly all critics who question whether Israel is pulling America deeper into this conflict as “Jew-haters” (on both left and right) can unintentionally heighten the very fears you’re addressing. Many Americans, including many who support Israel’s right to defend itself, are simply asking pragmatic questions about costs, strategy, and U.S. interests. That’s not hatred or a desire for destruction. It’s normal debate about an ally’s decisions, especially when American lives, treasure, and entanglement are involved.
Conflating policy criticism (or even crude jokes) with eliminationist antisemitism risks making Jews feel more isolated and Americans feel unfairly smeared. The vast majority of Americans are not enemies of the Jewish people. This country has been one of the safest and most successful homes for Jews in history, and most Americans want it to stay that way. Legitimate disagreement over how to handle Iran or the scope of U.S. involvement shouldn’t automatically become proof of moral darkness or Jew-hatred.
We can support Israel’s security, recognize real threats like Iran, and still allow room for honest criticism of specific choices without declaring each other existential enemies. Clarity on that distinction actually strengthens the ability to fight genuine antisemites.
